Use Backup code "RH2ASJKJ2394J" When you cannot scan your tag
Your backup code lets you stop an NFC alarm when your tag is unavailable, lost, or damaged. Tap “Help!” on the scan screen and enter your code to end the alarm.
The code contains several letters and numbers so it does not become an easy shortcut you use every morning. Scanning your tag is the everyday method; the backup code is there when you need another way to stop the alarm. Keep it somewhere safe and accessible.
Your NFC tag, a reason to get out of bed
Place your Mornnie tag where you want to start your morning, such as your bathroom or kitchen. Connect the tag in the app and enable “NFC to Stop” when setting your alarm. When it rings, open the scan screen and hold your phone’s NFC reader close to the tag to end the wake-up session.
The tag is adhesive, waterproof, and requires no battery or charging. You can also leave it unattached if you prefer to move it between locations. Your phone must support NFC, and your tag must be connected using the app’s instructions.
Ordinary alarms, no NFC required
You can also use Mornnie as a regular alarm clock. Leave “NFC to Stop” switched off to dismiss an alarm using the Stop button without scanning a tag.
Choose your alarm time, sound, and volume, and check the settings before saving.
Silent Scan, reach your tag without waking others
Silent Scan on iOS gives you up to 30 seconds of total quiet on the scan screen, so you can reach your NFC tag without disturbing others who are sleeping. It is optional and can be enabled separately for each NFC alarm.
A shrinking black line shows your remaining quiet time. Leaving the app or locking your phone brings the alarm sound back and pauses the remaining allowance. Returning to the scan screen resumes the time you have left.
Once all 30 seconds have been used, the alarm sound returns and no additional quiet time is available for that wake-up session. Scan your tag or enter a valid backup code to stop the alarm.
Alarm sounds and volume
Choose an alarm sound and volume that work for you. Try a test alarm so you know how it sounds on your phone.
On iPhone, the system alarm may use a different volume from Mornnie’s own audio playback. Check your phone’s sound settings and test the alarm with the app both open and closed.
Alarm History
Alarm History lets you find and reuse previously used alarms. Check the time and settings before saving a reused alarm.
Statistics and routines
Mornnie provides daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly statistics to help you follow your recorded sleep and wake-up routines. Your Mornnie tag unlocks premium features, including statistics.
Statistics are based on information recorded by the app. They help you understand your habits and are not a medical measurement of sleep.
Permissions and your first test
Allow the alarm and notification permissions requested by the app. On iPhone, Mornnie uses AlarmKit and requires iOS 26 or later, along with permission to schedule alarms. On Android, your phone’s battery and background settings may also affect how the app works.
Before relying on Mornnie for an important wake-up, set an alarm a few minutes ahead, lock your phone, and check that the sound, NFC scanning, and backup code work. Keep your phone charged and powered on.
No subscription
Mornnie has no ads or monthly fees. Purchase your NFC tag once and use it as part of your daily morning routine.
